YUJIAPU FINANCIAL DISTRICT--THE FIRST APEC LOW CARBON MODEL TOWN

On June 19, 2010, Yujiapu Financial District was nominated as the first APEC low carbon model town, at the Ninth APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting that was held in Fukui, Japan.

Yujiapu Financial District owns 3.8 square kilometers of floor space and 9.5 million square meters of overall floorage, integrates five large commercial activities of market convention and exhibition, traditional finance, modern finance, educational training and commercial residence, and has become a leading financial services district, offering comprehensive functionality and perfect service.

Yujiapu Financial District is planned to own 120 blocks to be constructed in three periods. The first phase is the start-up area, comprising 35 blocks totally. It includes a rail station, office buildings, hotels and apartments, conference centers, an arts center and the waterfront park.

GREEN PROCUREMENT PROGRAMME:

During January to April, 2014,Yujiapu successfully organized the first green procurement of regional fine decoration and building materials. It covers 6 items of Yujiapu Financial District startup area 0314, 0315, 0318, 0321 and 0326 as well as underground commercial district, which is a refined decoration project with around 0.7 million m2 of construction area in total.

UNDERGROUND SPACE:

The underground space is well-developed,achieving overall connection of metro, underground business and parking lot; three-dimensional transportation network is on the third and second floor underground,integrating parking lot and equipment room while commercial street is on the first floor underground.The overall length of the whole urban common duct line is about 6km.The total number of connections between the underground driving system and surrounding block is 47.

LOW CARBON TRAFFIC:

The underground transportation system includes underground driving, walking, rail transportation system. Yujiapu Station of Beijing-Tianjin Inter- city High Speed Rail will be completed in August and it will only take 45 minutes to Beijing.The rail transportation service will cover more than 80% of the area.The coverage rate of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) is 100%.
