    The website of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain was launched. The website strives to promote connectivity and information sharing of green supply chain among economies in the Asia-pacific region, update APEC and even global green trends in a timely manner, present green supply chain best practices of various organizations, serving as a green information sharing platform for corporations, research institutes and the civil society to facilitate communication, interaction and cooperation.

    The APEC 2016 First Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM1) was held in Lima, Peru during 20th Feb. – 4th March, 2016. Delegation of Tianjin Pilot Center attended the conference and briefed the progress of Tianjin Pilot Center to the Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI), the coordinating body for all of APEC's work. With concerted efforts by all parties, the construction of GSCNET (Green Supply Chain Network) was made a high priority of 2016 APEC’s work and was listed on the outcome document of this Senior Officials’Meeting.

    The expert meeting on the construction of Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain was successfully held in 21st, Jan. Presented experts were: Cui Jindu, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the NPC of Tianjin municipality, Wu Chu, director of Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the NPC of Tianjin municipality, members of the leading group of Tianjin Green Supply Chain Pilot Work, experts and scholars from Nankai University , Tianjin University etc. and chief editors from China Environment News and other media.

    Tianjin Government issued the Interim Measures for Tianjin Green Supply Chain Management. It requires to establish management mechanism featuring government support, standard guidance, enterprises demonstration and social service, and put forward green supply chain management according to the methods of founding, improving, limiting and abolishing.

    The 27th APEC Ministerial Meeting launched the declaration that welcoming the establishment of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chains (GSCNET) Tianjin Pilot Center, and the outcomes of the GSCNET Dialogue held in May. We endorsed the Work Plan of the GSCNET and encourage members to establish more Pilot Centers to promote cooperation to this end.

    APEC 2015 Third Senior Officials’ Meeting endorsed the Work Plan on APEC Cooperation on Green Supply Chain. The objective of the work plan is to build green supply chain network that could share information of the APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain. The network will start to work in 2016.

It supports Tianjin to play a lead role in the establishment of APEC Cooperation on Green Supply Chain Tianjin Pilot Center, explores a management system of Green Supply Chain and encourages green trade.

    Launching Workshop APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain Tianjin Pilot Center was held in Tianjin Financial District-the central district of Tianjin Free Trade Zone, co-organized by Ministry of Environment Protection (MEP) and Tianjin Municipal Government. It marks the initiation of APEC green supply chain network Tianjin pilot center endorsed in the Beijing Declaration. Green supply chain has becoming an important concept to catalyze APEC’s promotion of green trade cooperation.

    Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau approved the establishing approval of Green Supply Chain Association. Before the foundation of the Association, the preparatory team, according to the requirements of society registration, organized Tianjin Green Supply Chain Association, convened founding meeting, chose Tewoo Group, Tianjin Housing Group, Bohai Steel Group, Bank of Tianjin, Tianjin Chengjian University, New Finance Company, Tianjin Green Supply Chain service center and other 23 member units as founding member and elected chairman, vice-chairman and general secretary.

We endorse the establishment of the first pilot center of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain in Tianjin, China, and encourage other economics to establish the pilot centers and advance related work actively.”
