The APEC 2016 Second Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM2) was held in Arequipa, Peru during 5th May – 15th May, 2016. Tianjin Pilot Center of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain (GSCNET) attended the meeting and briefed the progress in implementing the Work Plan on APEC GSCNET. Three new volunteer agencies joined GSCNET and several organizations have expressed interest in becoming new pilot centers. CTI took note of the progress made and welcomed three new members to the network - Australia, Korea and Chile.
The progress GSCNET Tianjin Pilot center made was reiterated in the subsequent meeting paper of SOM Chair’s Report to the Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade：
“We commend the progress on work of the APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain (GSCNET), including the launch of a bilingual website operated by GSCNET Tianjin Pilot Center. We welcome new members who have joined the GSCNET and encourage more members to nominate more institutions and experts to join and contribute to a well-functioning GSCNET. We look forward to the forthcoming Workshop on Capacity Building in August.”
