APEC GSCNET has been added to the APEC official website

On 10th March, 2017, APEC GSCNET(www.apecgsc.org) was added to the APEC official website (www.apec.org) by the APEC secretariat, which symbolized that the GSCNET website became an official platform for promoting green development and supply chain connectivity. The GSCNET website is an important achievement in fulfilling the requirements of the 22nd APEC Leaders’ Meeting.

 

The GSCNET website is developed in accordance to APEC documents and practical requirements of GSCNET. The GSCNET website was launched in May 2016 striving to popularize GSC knowledge, raise awareness of green development among APEC economies; exchange academic and professional achievements on GSC, and promote connectivity and practical cooperation among economies.

 

Since the launching of GSCNET Website, technical and visual improvements, as well as improvements on the content has been made under the guidance and support of the APEC Secretariat, including the accomplishment of a mobile-responsive version of the website.

The 22nd APEC Economic Leaders' Declaration 2014 agreed to establish the APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain and endorsed the establishment of the first pilot center of APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain in Tianjin, China.

Work Plan on APEC Cooperation on Green Supply Chain endorsed by 2015 AMM proposed to construct GSCNET website.

 

APEC PERU 2016 AMM Joint Statement commended progress in the work of the APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain (GSCNET), including the launching of a bilingual website operated by GSCNET Tianjin Pilot Center. 2017 APEC First Senior Official’s Meeting held this February endorsed work plan and supported to link the GSCNET website to the official website of APEC. APEC GSCNET Tianjin Pilot Center is responsible for the development and daily operation of GSCNET website.
