APEC Executive Director Debriefed TPC Work Report

In March, 2019, Dr. Rebecca Sta Maria, the new Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat visited China and attended activities hosted by Nankai University. She attended the Post-2020 Vision Workshop and debriefed working report Made by APEC authorized institutions including APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain (GSCNET) Tianjin Pilot Center. APEC senior official Ms. Lu Mei from China Ministry of Foreign Affairs accompanied her attendance. 

 

Tianjin Pilot Center (TPC) reported on its background, APEC supporting, green supply chain connectivity promotion and capacity building, as well as green management tools and next-step plan. TPC Highlighted the Green Credit Evaluation Methodology in the infrastructure construction domain which leaded by TPC.

 

Ms. Rebecca indicated that Proposal on Establishing an APEC Cooperation Network on Green Supply Chain was in organic connection with many other proposals and they mutually promote each other. Developing green finance was the foundation of realizing green development in the APEC region and was of great significance.


Ms. Lu Mei highly affirmed the progress the authorized institutions made in that they effectively integrated various resources and drove steps forward. They are precious fortune in APEC.
